BPSSC SI Recruitment 2026 Summary
Recruitment drive is being done under Advertisement No. 05/2025 to fill 1,799 vacancies of the post of Police Sub-Inspector in the Bihar Police Department. This chance brought a huge amount of applicants to the state-wide level.

Selection Process and Cut-Off Marks
The commission used a normalizing process in order to have a fair judgment since the exam was done in various shifts. Calculation of marks was based on Equi-percentile method to ensure that candidates in different sessions were rated on a scale which was balanced.
According to the recruitment regulations, short listing of candidates twenty times the total vacancies has been carried out in the Main Examination. Overall, 4,48,899 applicants have been eligible to move to the next level.
The cut-off marks on the categories provide a clue to the level of competition in the exam. The General category male cut-off was noted to be 130.67 marks and General female cut-off was 106.84. The cut-off EWS on the category was 124.33 in men and 98.30 in women. In the case of the SC category, the cut-off was 113.55 among the male candidates and 79.84 among the female candidates.

The merit list is available as the candidates can visit the official site of the Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission. Once the website has been opened, they should find the result link with the reference to Advertisement No. 05/2025 to the Police Sub-Inspector preliminary examination.
