The Reason why a Special Assessment Scheme was necessary

Because of the tension and unstable situation in some regions of the Middle East, it was just impossible to conduct board examinations in some places as planned. Countries that were impacted were Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

That is why, CBSE was forced to make a difficult yet the needed step to cancel some of the examinations. This raised the concern among students and parents as to how results were to be computed fairly. In response to this issue, the board made a special assessment scheme which is meant to provide that no student is disadvantaged.

Tests, which have been administered successfully

CBSE was able to carry out a number of significant exams before the disruption between February 17 and February 28, 2026. Many students already had completed core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science.

Not all of them would however turn up to all subjects and this brought confusion regarding the way final marks would be determined. This is where the new formula is applicable.

The manner in which the results will be determined by CBSE

The board has presented a balanced mode whereby the students are judged well basing on the exams which they had the opportunity to attend. Students that will take all the tests will be awarded marks according to their real performance as in a normal year.

In the case of individuals who responded in four subjects, the score that remains in the subject will be computed based on three highest marks.

In case a student was only able to take three subjects, then an average of the two best marks will be taken to complete the result. This approach will make sure that students are not punished due to the situations that are not their fault and that their efforts in the completed tests are not wasted.

What of the Private and Compartment Students?

CBSE has not left out the private and compartment students as well. All that came to one or two exams will prepare their results depending on such papers.

Meanwhile, students, who were unable to formalize or had unfinished needs, will receive an opportunity to take the tests subsequently. This gives them a reasonable chance to ameliorate or fill their academic background.

In Which and Where to Verify Your Result

The results are announced in various online platforms and thus, students are able to check them out easily after the results are announced.

You may check your marks at cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in. Other than websites, the results will be also found in DigiLocker and the UMANG app, which is also convenient to use in case the websites are slow because of a large amount of traffic.

You only require your roll number, school code and date of birth to check your result. Once you have logged in, your marksheet will be displayed on the screen which can be downloaded to use later.

A Breath of Relief to Students

It is not just a technical solution to this special assessment scheme. It shows a realization of the stress that students experienced in uncertain times. Although exams are noteworthy, fairness is even more important and that is what this method is trying to achieve.
