PM Kisan 22nd Installment 2026: Millions of farmers across the country await the annual installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) because it provides significant support for farming and household needs. However, this time, before the next installment arrives, the government has initiated a re-examination of the beneficiary list.
This investigation has led to reports of several farmers’ names being removed from the list, causing widespread concern. If you are also benefiting from this scheme, it is now crucial to check whether your name is still on the list.
Why did the government remove some farmers’ names?
PM Kisan 22nd Installment 2026 government’s investigation revealed that in some cases, land records were unclear or ownership information was incomplete. According to new guidelines, the eligibility of farmers whose land was registered after February 2019 is being re-examined. If the correct documents are not received on time, their names may be removed from the portal.

Furthermore, violations of family-related rules have also emerged as a major reason. The scheme rules state that only one member of a family consisting of husband, wife, and minor children can avail of the benefit. Investigations revealed several cases where both husband and wife were receiving separate installments. In such cases, not only can payments be stopped, but the previously received amount can also be recovered.
Check Your Name and Status from Home
If you want to know whether the next installment of Rs. 2,000 will be credited to your account, there’s no need to visit an office. You can check the status from your mobile phone by visiting the scheme’s official website. Go to the Farmers Corner section and select the “Know Your Status” option.
Enter your registration number or mobile number
Upon entering the information, your complete details will appear on the screen. It’s important to carefully check the e-KYC and Land Seeding status. If “YES” is not written against these two options, your installment may be stuck. In such a case, it’s best to go to the nearest CSC center and complete your KYC immediately.
When might the 22nd installment arrive?
The government has not yet announced an official date, but according to media reports and sources, the installment may be released in the first week of March 2026. It is believed that ₹2,000 may be transferred to farmers’ accounts before Holi to support the rural economy and provide relief to farmers during the festival.
Important Precautions for Farmers

If you want to continue receiving benefits under the scheme, it is important to ensure that your bank account is linked to Aadhaar and activated for DBT. It is also important to keep your land-related documents and KYC updated to avoid any disruptions in installment payments.
